Raid rules
In order for the guild to be successful in end game raiding there are some rules that all members will have to follow. Failure to follow these rules will cause you to be removed from the raid and in extreme cases being removed from the guild.

1) The Arc Knights will run the raids. You will listen to the Raid Leader and your Arc Knight and do as they ask.

2) In order raids you have to have the following mods installed and working. If you do not have the mods installed you will not raid.

All players – see forum post here
You will need a Boss Mod, Raid Core, and Threat Meter
Debuffing classes (druids, paladins, mages, priests) will need Decursive
Everyone MUST have TeamSpeak

3) Members of the raid are encouraged not to idly chat in raid chat as well as on TS unless answering a question posed by a raid leader. These two tools are for the purpose of those running the raid. To make things smooth, these channels of communication need to be left open to the leaders of the raid. While we are relaxed at times, there will be times when it is vital that the raid leader get information out without being interrupted.

4) Members of the raid will not go AFK without notifying their class leader. It is understood that sometimes there is a very good reason for having to step away from your keyboard but anyone going AFK in an excessive manner will be removed from the raid. In order for the raid to go successfully we need people online and concentrating on the task at hand. Whenever you are taking up a slot in the raid but not participating in the raid you are hurting the raid and all of your friends that are there with you.

5) Certain loots are property of the guild. People will be assigned at the beginning of the raid to collect this stuff for the guild. If it is looted off of a corpse, please hold until the end of the raid and then pass to an AK or Officer. If it is mined or herbed, leave it for the person assigned to collect.

6) Complaining during the raid for any reason at any time, will not be tolerated. There will be times when the frustration level is high, at those times you need to continue to act in a respectful manner. This type of action will affect all of those in the raid and will not be tolerated. These forums are designed for discussion of what went wrong and better strategies for accomplishing a task. During a raid is not the time to bring these things up. The raid leaders spend a lot of time compiling strategies by doing research online as well as reading these forums. The best method to get your point across is here.

7) If you are removed from the raid it is your responsibility to leave the instance. Unlike other instances when you are removed from the raid group you will remain in the instance. At this time you need to leave the instance. Raid leaders can remove people for a variety of reasons, although simply booting people is frowned upon.

Cool Currently we are not using a DKP system. However, in the event that we switch to a DKP system, DKP will only be earned per character. Main characters are will be invited first to end game raiding. If you have an alt that you would like to make your main, talk with an officer in the guild and if there is a spot available for you alts class we will change it.

9) There will be times when we ask a person to play an alt for the better of the raid. Alts invited to the raid CAN win loot, but mains take precedence over alts.

10) Participation in upper level raiding is not a right but is a privilege. Raid and class leaders reserve the right to make any decision on the fly while we are in the instance. People will not always agree with these decisions but these leaders are trying to do what is best for the guild.

Invites to upper level raids

There are several things that will be used in determining who will get invited to an end level raid.

Guild requirements – It is currently a guild requirement to be fully heroic keyed to attend raids.
Class requirements – Each class has class requirements for attending. Hit Points, Mana and other stats are used for part of this requirement. Skill level is another factor for class requirements. Each Arc Knight has a set of requirements for their class and will OK people to raid who meet the standards that have been set for the class.

Sign up - It is important to understand who is planning on being there. Signing up for the raid allows the people that are preparing the raid to make sure they will have the right classes.

Raid attendance – Members that can dedicate their time to these instances will be given preferential treatment in terms of invites. We raid 3 nights a week and it is important to have as high a raid attendance % as possible.

Raid role – It is important that we have the right class mix to make this possible.

Although this invite schema may be changed over time, currently this is what we are using for invites:

1st choice - people who meet the guild (heroic keys) and class (gear/skill) requirements who DID sign up.
2nd choice - people who do NOT meet the guild and class requirements but DID sign up.
3rd choice - people who do meet the guild and class requirements and did NOT sign up.
4th choice - people who do NOT meet the guild and class requirements and did NOT sign up.

Raid and class leaders have last call on who is invited. If you feel you are being slighted with the invites talk to the raid leaders (not during the raid, but after) on what you can do to raise your chances of selection. We want all members to be able to attend end game events and will work hard to include everyone.

Raid Loot
Currently we are not using a DKP system in raids.

When an item drops the raid leader will determine what classes/specs can best use the item and will allow rolls on the item.
AK’s will have final say so over who in their class can roll – if the AK is not present, the other AK’s and raid leader will confer.
One epic per raid is the general ideal, but if no one wants an item or is determined to be a good loot candidate, the item will be opened up to everyone who is interested.
This system is designed to minimize loot drama. The AK’s will strive to be fair and do what is best for the guild.
